Mothering Sunday was another opportunity to invite and welcome as many people as possible to join in the congregation for our service. It was particularly good to welcome some new faces and especially the Beavers and Scouts, and we all look forward to meeting again.
A packed church heard the orchestra play, our musicians and choir lead the taize chant, we all watched Felicity mix up a cake with added messages and the young people distributed posies of flowers around the congregation. Those who came to the cottages enjoyed a piece of the two special cakes for the occasion. There was even a gift from the church to all mothers on Mothering Sunday, special for today, a beautiful flower arrangement in front of the pulpit.
To everyone we welcome you to come again and receive God’s message and love.
