On Saturday 11 January, we held a farewell lunch for Dowell, with food and drink organised by the Social Committee. The PCC and many parishioners packed the cottages and drank a toast to Dowell and his family for their future. The pictures show Dowell replying to the toast and thanking everyone (standing on a chair to look even taller!) and then trying not to look embarrassed as we all sang "for he's a jolly good fellow".
