I have been asked to write my thoughts about our Carol
Service last month.
I am not gifted in music but, when I hear such singing and organ accompaniment that the St Peter’s choir and organist produce on these occasions, I envy their talents. With so many hours of practice to obtain the results we hear, I wonder how their throats survive!
The whole service was printed out so it went without a hitch. In these days of gloomy forecasts for our well-being, the service was an uplifting experience to me as I am sure to others in the full congregation.
An apology to finish. I was one of the welcomers at that service but could not do the job correctly as I was on “a no-speaking ban”, having throat trouble. I just mimed when there was general carol singing!
What a super fellowship we have at St Peter’s!
