Some of the Year 2 children watched (and helped) as the new planters were placed by the War Memorial in readiness for the Remembrance day commemorations. Year 3 children have helped in the installation of a willow sculpture in the Conservation area.
The After-School club has moved to its new location on the school site, in our brand-new multi-function room, and is settling in well.
Six children were interviewed about current events by BBC Radio Gloucestershire and the recordings were broadcast during the early morning show over a week in November.
For Children in Need, following the theme 'Make it Creative' the children were asked to dress creatively and were involved in various creative activities during the day.
Preparations for numerous Christmas activities in school and in the community are well under way. Year 1 children will perform their Nativity play and Year 3 are preparing a Christmas production. The Junior choir will perform at a Rotary Club Charity concert at the Town Hall on 12th December, Recorder groups will perform at Lights of Love at the Sue Ryder Home on 13th December and the Year 6 choir will perform at the Salvation Army Carolcade at the Bacon Theatre on December 15th.
The Friends of the School held a very successful Jumble Sale which raised nearly £400 for the school. They are holding their ever-popular Christmas Fair at school on Saturday, 2nd December at 2pm, with stalls selling gifts and goodies, games for the children and seasonal refreshments.
