Tom Elliott on "An audience with Tom Elliott - youth worker and magician".
The next meeting will be on Monday 6 December at 20.00 in the Glebe Cottages* when the speaker will be Tom Elliott on "An audience with Tom Elliott - youth worker and magician".
Tom is currently in his final year of University, studying "Youth and Community work and applied theology.” He has been working on placement for South Cheltenham Churches and has worked alongside Sarah Powell with young people at youth clubs, churches and in schools.
He is also a comedian and Illusionist and regularly travels the UK at weekends performing at Christian and ‘Secular’ events. He is now focusing his performance work for evangelistic purposes.
Tom has performed at many of the large scale Christian Festivals such as Greenbelt, New Wine, Detling Bible Week and Gorsley Festival. In December he will be appearing on Revelation TV, a Christian TV channel on Sky. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians and is soon to be on the National Speakers list of ‘Christian Vision for Men.’
As Tom graduates in May 2011, he will be speaking about the ministry to which he feels God is leading him, and where his studies and performance work fit in to that plan.
Tom is well known at St Peter's - particularly for the wonderful entertainment he provided at the Cheese & Wine Evening in January this year.
