This year, in place of our normal Maundy Thursday evening service, we shall commemorate the Last Supper by holding a Passover Meal, the feast Our Lord himself celebrated the night before he died, together with Holy Communion. This provides a background through Scripture and symbols to aid our understanding of our regular Communion services.
An important feature of Passover is the recalling of events which led up to the freeing from slavery in Egypt of the People of Israel. This recollection takes the form of a lengthy period of preparation before the serving and eating of the Passover meal, and is an integral part of the whole evening, which will last from 6.00pm to about 9.00pm.
Tickets will be available in March. Meanwhile, please note this date in your diaries and, if you have any questions, ask Felicity or Paul.
